Description

Nikon Z7 II Mirrorless Camera

With enhanced processing, increased versatility, and a familiar design, the Nikon Z7 II builds upon the strengths of its predecessor. Featuring a high-resolution 45.7MP FX-format BSI CMOS sensor and dual EXPEED 6 image processors, this camera is designed for meticulous image creators who demand exceptional detail.

Second Generation Z

Nikon has refined the Z7 platform to deliver higher speed, faster processing, and expanded versatility while preserving the beloved characteristics of the original camera. The sensor, sans the optical low-pass filter, captures intricate details, supporting a native ISO range down to 64. Faster processing translates to a 10 fps continuous shooting rate, ideal for capturing moving subjects. UHD 4K 60p video is supported, with options for external recording in 10-bit using N-Log or HLG modes.

Dual EXPEED 6 processors improve buffer performance, increase the continuous shooting rate to 10 fps, and reduce blackout times in the viewfinder. The autofocus system now includes Eye and Face Detection for humans and animals in Wide-Area AF mode, both in photo and video modes. Long exposure shooting is extended to 15 minutes, and dual memory card slots offer flexible file storage options.

The USB Type-C port allows in-camera charging or continuous power, and the focus ring rotation direction is customizable. HDR (HLG) mode for external recording and ProRes RAW upgrade options enhance video capabilities. SnapBridge wireless connectivity facilitates firmware updates without relying on memory cards.

45.7MP FX-Format BSI CMOS Sensor and Dual EXPEED 6 Processors

The 45.7MP BSI CMOS sensor, paired with dual EXPEED 6 processors, ensures high-resolution stills, excellent low-light performance, and fast readout speeds for continuous shooting and video recording. The omission of the optical low-pass filter maximizes sharpness and resolution. The camera can shoot continuously at 10 fps for up to 50 frames.

UHD 4K Video Recording

The Z7 II is a multimedia powerhouse, supporting UHD 4K video recording at 60p and Full HD 1080p at 120p for slow-motion playback. Advanced video features include N-Log gamma and HLG for HDR-ready footage. Focus Peaking aids manual focus, and firmware updates unlock additional recording options.

493-Point Phase-Detect AF System & Vibration Reduction

Equipped with 493 phase-detect autofocus points covering 90% of the image area, the Z7 II ensures fast and accurate focusing for stills and video. The 5-axis sensor-shift Vibration Reduction compensates for up to 5 stops of camera shake, applicable to both Z-type and adapted F-mount lenses.

Body Design

Featuring a 3.2″ 2.1m-dot tilting touchscreen, a 3.6m-dot OLED electronic finder, and a dot-matrix OLED on the top panel, the Z7 II offers intuitive controls and clear image monitoring. The robust magnesium alloy chassis is weather-resistant, and the ergonomic grip ensures comfortable handling. SnapBridge connectivity allows seamless image transfer and remote shooting.

Z7 II Firmware Ver. 1.30 (Released 10/19/2021)

The firmware update adds Portrait Impression Balance items, displays shooting information during tilted image review, and improves various settings. It enhances the camera’s performance and user experience.

Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S Lens

The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens offers a versatile zoom range, from wide-angle to portrait-length perspectives. With a constant f/4 aperture, advanced optical elements, and a compact design, it ensures high image sharpness and clarity. The lens features a stepping motor for quick and quiet autofocus, a programmable control ring, and a button-less retractable barrel for added convenience.

Whether shooting stills or videos, this lens delivers impressive performance, making it an ideal companion for FX-format Z-mount mirrorless cameras.
