Description

Overview of the Nikon Z6 II:

Enhanced with increased speed, versatility, and performance, the Nikon Z6 II represents an upgraded iteration of the versatile mirrorless camera ideal for top-tier photo and video applications. Despite numerous enhancements, this model maintains its familiar form factor and renowned image quality, catering to multimedia professionals.

24.5MP FX-Format BSI CMOS Sensor and Dual EXPEED 6 Processors:

The camera incorporates a 24.5MP BSI CMOS sensor, delivering exceptional performance for diverse shooting needs, including impressive low-light capabilities and swift readout speeds for continuous shooting, videos, and time-lapse recording. The back-illuminated sensor design ensures cleaner high-sensitivity output, reducing noise even at high ISO values of up to 51200. It also guarantees vibrant and smooth quality at lower sensitivities like ISO 100. Supporting the sensor are dual EXPEED 6 image processors, providing remarkable speed throughout the camera system, allowing continuous shooting at 14 fps for up to 124 consecutive frames.

UHD 4K Video Recording:

The Z6 II is not just proficient in still photography; it excels as a multimedia camera. It supports UHD 4K video recording with full pixel readout at 30p and Full HD 1080p recording at 120p for slow-motion playback. Video files can be stored in-camera or as uncompressed files via HDMI out to an optional external recorder.

Advanced Video Functionalities:

Enhanced video capabilities include N-Log gamma for maximizing dynamic range, HLG (HDR) for HDR-ready footage, outputting high-quality 10-bit data over HDMI, Electronic VR for steady handheld shooting, Focus Peaking for manual focus control, Zebra Stripes for identifying over-exposed areas, and options for audio recording using the built-in stereo microphone or an external mic via the 3.5mm stereo jack.

Firmware Update (version 1.10):

This update unlocks UHD 4K recording at 60p and 50p frame rates, enables raw video output to Blackmagic Design Video Assist external recorders, and enhances eye-detection performance in Auto-Area AF and Wide-Area AF modes.

273-Point Phase-Detect AF System & Vibration Reduction:

Featuring 273 phase-detect autofocus points covering 90% of the image area, ensuring swift and accurate focusing for both photos and videos. The system also offers Hybrid AF for seamless focus transition during video shooting. The in-body 5-axis sensor-shift Vibration Reduction compensates for up to 5 stops of camera shake, compatible with Z-type lenses and adapted F-mount lenses with the FTZ Adapter.

Body Design and Features:

The camera sports a large 3.2″ 2.1m-dot tilting LCD touchscreen for clear image playback and live view shooting, along with a 3.6m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder for comfortable eye-level viewing. A dot-matrix OLED display on the top panel provides quick access to essential camera settings. Storage options include one CFexpress Type B/XQD card slot and one UHS-II SD card slot, offering flexible file storage configurations for users.
